“No Justice No Peace, We Skate For Tyre.”

I AM A MAN Center was staging area for Memphis’ peaceful demonstrators.

MEMPHIS, TENN— Led by community activist DeVante Hill, chants of ‘no justice no peace’ harmoniously blended with sound of blues from musical establishments on Beale St. Fused together, the protest and the blues, guided demonstrators peaceful steps from the I Am A Man Center despite the threat of rain.

Though the weather forecast appeared to be a challenge approximately 50- protestors gathered at I AM A MAN Center and pause for 45 minutes at W.C. Handy Square for a period of reflection on the tragedy that occured in Memphis that has shaken the nation.

“I’m proud of Memphis showing up in the rain today,” barked DeVante Hill who led today’s protest. “I don’t care if the officer were white we’d be here. If they were Republicans or Democrats we’d be here.”

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am at Mississippi Blvd Church on 2-1-2022.
