COLLEGE STATION, Texas — In a story seemingly straight out of a cartoon episode, two men were arrested for attempting to enter Kyle Field on the day of the 2024 Lone Star Showdown without tickets.

The catch? The way they tried to get into the stadium.

According to the Texas A&M Police Department, the two tried to get in by posing as construction workers in reflective vests and hard hats. However, the kicker is the people they were posing as. According to arrest affidavits the day after the game, the two men had pictures of themselves as ID photos, but had their names displayed as “Harry Azcrac” and “Duncan McCockiner”.

Queue the snickering and chuckles.

While obviously not their real names, both men were booked into the Brazos County Jail for Criminal Trespass the day of the incident and were released the day after, according to county jail records.

That wasn’t the only highlight of the evening from TAMU PD, as other tweets from the game garnered millions of views on X.

Unfortunately for the home crowd, the Aggies would lose 17-7 to be eliminated from SEC title contention. That loss ended College Football Playoff hopes, too. Texas, meanwhile, will face Georgia for a chance to win the conference next Saturday. With all that was on the line, the game was a hot commodity. Those who either couldn’t find tickets, or couldn’t afford them, had to get creative.

You won’t believe the names the two men were going by when they were trying to enter Kyle Field on Saturday night.

That included two attendees with fake construction credentials that managed to get on the premises. Texas A&M police reported an arrest on their X timeline Saturday night. The two fans came fully prepared, donning both badges and reflective vests. They even got creative with their fake names! After doing some digging, a local reporter was able to learn more about the situation.

The youngsters weren’t able to accomplish the goal of watching the game, but boy, do they have a story to tell. As for the Texas A&M police, they seemed to have their hands very full on Saturday. Some of the interesting situations included the typical intoxicated fans, those with fake tickets, others trying to run past security without passes, fan fights, and even a man riding a literal longhorn on campus.

Anyone looking for a great follow, this TAMU police account almost feels like parody at times. Then again, college football has a way of bringing out the crazy in fans, especially when the stakes are high! Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until next season for more shenanigans at Kyle Field as the Aggies’ campaign has come to an end.
